How long does it take to get my new windows?

Normally, Northwoods Windows can have your new replacement windows custom manufactured and installed in 3 - 5 weeks.

Do I have to replace all the windows and doors in my house at once?

The answer to that question is a resounding NO!  At Northwoods Windows, we understand that each homeowner has different plans for their home improvement project.  At Northwoods Windows we'll install all the windows in your home at once..or just 1 - 2- or 3 at a time.

Can my new windows be installed during the Winter months?

Absolutely!!  Northwoods Windows installs windows year 'round.  Because your new windows are custom made for the openings, the installation process averages about an hour per window.

What is the process of getting new windows installed?

Believe it or not...there are a few very simple steps:

  1. Have your in-home appointment to choose the type of windows, colors and options and get your exact cost estimate.

  2. Make your decision and have exact measurements taken to have your windows custom manufactured.

  3. Have our experienced professionals install your new windows.

With all the window replacement companies out there, how do I choose the best one?

You know that finding a reliable contractor for any home improvement project can be a nightmare.  Choose a firm that specializes in windows exclusively.  Make sure they do one thing and one thing well.  Ask about their history.  How long have they been in business?  Do they have a showroom/office that you can visit?  Do they offer references?  do they sell a recognizable product?  do their windows seem over priced?...or under priced?

What about condensation on windows?

Condensation occurs on windows when warm moist air comes in contact with the colder surface of the window.  We all would like to assume that the windows are to blame for the condensation.  Fact is, the windows are simply a visible sign humidity exists.  Windows don't cause condensation.  On the contrary, the right windows can be a great help in reducing condensation.
